Let's Write a Play!

August 5 - September 2

This 6-week class will introduce students to the art of playwrighting. Working with the knowledge that every play has a beginning, middle, and an end, students will write short original works around a prompt provided by the instructor. The class will culminate in a showcase where adult professional actors will perform staged readings of the plays in Chaffin’s Barns’ Backstage Theatre. A journaling notebook will be provided for each student.

Fairytale Theatre

August 4 - September 1

This 6-week class will let students turn beloved fairytales into works of theatre. The instructor will read the story as students begin to improvise the action and characters. This class taps into the world of the child’s imagination and teaches skills that turn play into PLAYS! The class will culminate in a showcase where students perform a fairytale that is being read by the instructor on Chaffin’s Barns’ Backstage.

Audition Techniques Class

August 6 - September 3

This class will go through the entire audition process from signing up to arriving at your audition designation. It will cover all aspects: wardrobe, materials, headshots and resumes, and audition etiquette.
